Where do you think the Keeper came from? Is he a ghost, a real person, or kind of like a God? Do you think he was expecting El Gato to come to him to play soccer?
I think that the keeper was once some huge soccer star who died and became a ghost who was instructed to stay on Earth to teach soccer to other people. He could have once been like El gato was before he started playing soccer. The Keeper was the one who created the field so that they could practice and he also told El Gato to go there.
